The New Year inspires a fresh start, new hope and yes, RESOLUTIONS! Among the most popular is exercising more. Pineville Parks and Recreations New Year’s Resolution is to do our part to get families active, whether it’s by joining one our fitness classes, youth recreation programs or being active in one of our parks. We want our community to know the good news, they don’t have to spend a fortune or be limited to an indoor gym. Pineville Parks have a plethora of fitness programs, classes and outdoor areas for all ages and budgets.

Spring cleaning your house? Need extra $$$? Bring your Yard Sale items to our annual Community Yard Sale! We take care of the advertising, signage, and we’ll even have a charitable organization pick-up your unsold items. Limited tables available. Cost: $10 (Limit 1 table per family) Come by the Community Center to reserve your table today!!

Joins us for some Easter fun! We will have a bounce house, Easter egg coloring contest, refreshments and an Easter Egg Hunt – the egg hunt will start at 10:00am!
Call or stop by the community center to register for our Easter Egg Hunt by 5:00pm April 7.
Bring your basket and your camera. We will have a very special guest!

New Year’s Fitness Challenge – Get Fit – Win Prizes
Fit Pass 2014 – A passport to a healthier you!
This is a FREE program to help you get committed to a healthier you.
Sign up at the Belle Johnston Community Center.
Program will run for 10 weeks (January 6 – March 14).
Your goal is to get as many stamps to qualify for prizes.
Prizes will consist of pedometers, water bottles, cinch sacs and sport tek shirts.
To get stamps you must attend one of the many group fitness classes offered at the Community Center and the Hut. All class info is listed in the newsletter or online. You may also earn stamps by using the fitness equipment and walking tracks at the Community Center.
25 or more stamps will earn you a pedometer or a water bottle.
35 or more stamps will earn you a cinch sac.
45 or more stamps will earn you a sport tek shirt.
Note: Fees apply to all Fitness classes.
Midnight Madness Basketball
Midnight Madness Basketball at the Belle – Join us from 8:00pm until midnight January 17th, February 7th and March 21st for 5 on 5 full court basketball for ages 13 thru 18. Free for residents with an ID card, bring a friend for $5.00. Sign up at the door by 8:15pm, all participants MUST be dropped off by a legal guardian to sign a waiver. All participants must be driven home, no walkers!. Drinks and snacks provided. For more information call 704.889.2400.
